ORIGINAL JJHS 1967-68 YEARBOOK ON THE AUCTION BLOCK!
1970 classmate, EUGENE BARNARD recently found his 1967-68 JJHS "Hoofprints" yearbook. It is in MINT condition and he sent it to me to auction off to benefit the website! The book still "cracks" when you open it!!! There is NO WRITING in it whatsoever! I'm telling y'all, this ORIGINAL FIRST YEAR school yearbook is a treasure for anyone wanting it. Over the years people have asked me if there was any way to get a copy, well, here's your chance!

Vance Verbeck (‘69) had the winning bid ($151.00) for the original, mint condition 1968 “Hoofprints” yearbook that we were auctioning off back in December. Vance has already paid for the yearbook, and now, he is donating it back to me to auction off at the SHINDIG VII reunion in July 2010! My thanks to Vance for his generosity. So, everyone has a chance to bid on this one-of-a-kind JJHS memorabilia. I'll bet that even George Hunter (‘70) out in the Middle East war zone will probably send in a bid!

LOST MUSTANGS RETURN TO THE CORRAL!
When Mustangs find this web site for the first time or they found us, again, after a long absence, I say that they've returned to the John Jay Alumni Mustang Corral and I list them in this section.  ROBERT "BOB" WILLIAMS ('69)

Last week, our 1969 classmate a good and close friend to so many of us, Bob Williams, suffered cardiac arrest and was in a coma ever since.  Last night, Monday, 11/16/09, Bob was taken off of life support and passed away. A memorial service is being planned at this time. He will be cremated.

Bob dearly loved the class reunions and came to all of them. He and I had a renewed and closer friendship over the years. I know that he will be deeply missed by all those who had the honor of knowing him. He was a good man, a good friend. Our prayers and sympathies to Bob's family.  He was 58 years old.
