WOW,
WOW, WOW!!! What else can I say? The
reunion
was a tremendous success in every aspect! It exceed all my expectations
and the attendance just blew my mind! Over 260 people showed up at the
Friday and Saturday events. I have not heared so much laughter or seen
so many smiles and hugs in my life! To see friends that hadn't seen one
another in 30 years was an unforgettable site!!
I am writing this on Sunday evening, July 23rd. I got back from the picnic at around 5:30pm tonight and tried to take a nap. I am so exhausted, I haven't been able to sleep. It's now, 9:40 p.m. and I just wanted to jot down a few notes.
I will do a REUNION WRAP-UP, here on the web site over the next week or so. I am still on such a glorious "high" and "rush." from all of this. The love that was shown between everyone was awesome. I have not had so much fun in decades! God, what a fantastic time! Give me a few days and I'll have more. I am just too wound-up to gather my thoughts and put them on these pages.
In the next few weeks, I will put together photo pages here to show you what a fantastic time we all had. Just a reminder to everyone who attended and took photos, please be sure to send me a set of prints. If you took digital pix, then, please save them to a 3.5" disk or CD for me in the "JPG" (JPEG) format and scan them no more that 72 dpi. Please be sure to identify the people in the photos for me. I'll need your help on that. Mail them to me at : 7439 Lancewood Lane San Antonio, TX 78227-1001.
My sincere thanks to everyone who attended. YOU were the success of the entire event. To those who supported us, but were unable to attend, you were in our hearts and I thank you, as well.
Thank you for the wonderful gifts that were presented to me at the Saturday night dinner/dance. The fours gifts from the "Class of 1969", the "Class of 1970," the "Class of 1971" and the collective gift from everyone, is so deeply appreciated. Forgive me for the tears of joy I shed when I opened them that night. I have never, ever felt such love and friendship from anyone in my entire life. In addition, I want to thank all the wonderful people who brought me all the coffee mugs! My goodness, where will I put them all?? They are great!
This was a weekend that will live in my heart forever and ever. I love each and every one of you just the way you are! I really, really do.
Love is all around... (right, Kathy?)

HERE'S THE GOLDBECK GROUP PANORAMIC PHOTO (SHOWN HERE IN 4 SHOTS) TAKEN AT THE SATURDAY NIGHT DINNER & DANCE AT PEDROTTI'S RANCH. THIS IS ABOUT 60% OF THE PEOPLE THAT SHOWED UP. MANY DID NOT MAKE IT IN TIME FOR THIS PHOTO AT 7:45PM. THERE'S NO WAY TO TELL YOU WHO IS WHO, SO LOOK AT IT LIKE A PUZZLE AND HAVE SOME FUN! WE ARE NOT GOING TO PRODUCE A "MEMORIES BOOK" OF THE REUNION. IT'S JUST TOO MUCH WORK. BUT WE ARE GOING TO MAKE A 'MEMORIES CD"! DETAILS IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS!

figure
out who is who. Again, if I left out your name, and you see yourself in

THE LOSS OF A FRIEND AND SO GENTLE A SPIRIT....
MARSHA PASCHALL ('73)
PASSED
AWAY AFTER THE REUNION...
One week after attending our Friday night reunion
party
at Mr. Gatti's, Marsha Paschall ('73) passed away after a
lengthy
battle with cancer and she was on dialysis. She died on July 28, 2000.
She attended the party in her wheelchair, accompanied by her sister, DEBBIE
PASCHALL ('70), who said that
Marsha's
heart just gave out. I spoke with CARY and
RON MAESTAS who had spoken with her
at the reunion. They said she had told them that she was thrilled to
have
been able to come to the reunion and that she loved the newsletters
that
I sent out. Her sister, Debbie, whom I just spoke with, said that
Marsha
had a wonderful time seeing everyone. I saw Marsha sitting at a table
at
Mr. Gatti's and thought she was someone's wife. I walked by the table
and
didn't introduce myself, as I rushed to the other party room. That is
my
loss. In a hurry, I never said hello, and now, I have no chance
to say, goodbye. I didn't know her, I only knew of her
through her sister. But she was one of us, a MUSTANG, and now she's an
angel. I hope Almighty God blesses Marsha, for Marsha blessed
each
of us by coming to the reunion. Our prayers go out to Marsha's mom, her
sister and brothers, children, extended family and friends, that they
may
be comforted. (8/9/00)
If anyone else wishes to offer a comment on Marsha's passing, I will be happy to list them below...
ROSS RAYMOND ('69): "Dear Dennis, Thanks for letting me know about this. I, too, saw her and was preoccupied with something else. I did not see her until later when she was leaving the building. You were not the only one who has regrets about this." --Thanks for the thoughts, Ross.
NAME WITHHELD: "Dennis, I don't know if you even care to hear this but I am going to tell you like my confessor or something...In High School, Marsha and I were mortal enemies over a guy that we both dated... we remained that way for years and I never could get over it. Thankfully, the last reunion of our Class of "73", she and I smiled at each other and asked how each other was. We seemed to have a common knowledge that our anger was finally gone... too long for any anger to last... especially over this guy who wasn't even around anymore...When I saw her at the reunion, I didn't even realize that it was her until my best friend Debbie pointed it out to me. I walked past her and smiled and she nodded at me and smiled back. I wanted to talk to her but felt really guilty that she was ill and (my loss) didn't talk to her. I didn't want her to think that I would finally really talk to her only because she was ill. I have cancer too and I don't know if it was a knowledge that I felt about being ill or what, but I missed my opportunity to talk it out with her or now I wonder if it was even necessary but I will never know. All I know is that I didn't think that that was the time for any stress in any way for her. I truly am sorry for senseless anger we both felt and hope that somehow she knew that it was childish and we both had grown up and stopped it finally. She will be missed in more ways than one. She was truly a special person and many people loved her." (I withheld the writer's name on my own accord-- Dennis)
MIKE & ROSE (SANCHEZ) MITCHELL ('72/'75): "She was a wonderful friend who always thought of others even on her worst days. She always had a smile on her face. I too had not seen her in her final days and was unable to attend the friday night bash and was told I missed her again. She was in our wedding almost 21 years ago. Her daughters were remarkable and gave the most heart wretching eulogy. She will be missed greatly. Please keep them in your prayers."
LINDA BEAUCH ('73): "Hi Dennis... Thank you keeping us up to date on what's happening. Is there an address we can sent a card to Marsha's family? I feel really bad that I was not able to talk to her Friday night. We really don't know how much time we have here on this earth. Thanks, Linda" ---You can reach her sister, DEBBIE PASCHALL at the following address: Debbis Paschall Fleming, 5485 Justin, Chubbuck, ID 83202.
SOME THOUGHTS ON THE REUNION BY THOSE WHO ATTENDED AND SOME WHO DIDN'T!
ROBERT MOYER ('71)... to Dennis "Death Wish" DuPriest --
Why stop the machine when you got a head of
steam?
He's got more friends than he could ever dream!
Do another party? Most would say "No way!"
But Dennis, what a dude! Give it all for old John Jay!
Some will say, "What's the point?"
Others ask, "Where's the joint?"
But no one will deny,
Ol' DuPriest is quite a guy!
So here's to you,
You aging Mustang,
Get back on the Web
And do your thang!
Just tell us the plan,
And where to send the buck.
You only live once,
So, hell, what the f.....k!
(Intended to be humorous, count me in, if your serious.) Bob Moyer
SHEILA O'KANE ('74)... "Dear Dennis, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! on being selected as Somerset ISD "Employee of the month. Also, THANK YOU for all the preperations that you did and all your hard work that you did for the reunion. I am very sorry that I missed it and am so glad that I will have the chance to go to the one next year. I am already planning on it!!! Looking forward to meeting you there! Let me know how I can help you. Love, Sheila"
DONNA STEPHENS ('70)... "Dear Dennis: After the spectacular reunion Saturday night, Monna and I stayed up till 2:00 A.M. talking and laughing and remembering our John Jay years. Friday night started our enjoyment at the old campus, and then later at Gatti's. We didn't want to go home! I was thrilled to see Shirley English, Mary Lou, Jerry Giles, Danny Padron, Wanda Darley, Donna Barnes, Bob Williams, Charlie "Chocks" Sims, Glenn Burchard, Kathi Brown, Sandra Putska, Joe Glowski and you, of course, just to name a few!! Pedrotti's Ranch was the perfect place to wrap up the activities. Everyone groaned when the "lights" came home and it was time to say goodbye since many of us could not attend the picnic on Sunday. Let me say you were the perfect host!! This reunion was the BEST ever. It was the greatest idea to combine our classes and YES, we should do it again and hopefully, all of those bashful classmates will come out of hiding and join us in all the fun and memories! Mr. Guerra and Coach Cassanova were an added bonus. Hopefully, more faculty will attend in the future. Words don't cut it when trying to thank you for your time, energy, and personal resources to benefit so many of us. Special thanks also to Danny and Cindee Padron and Carol Lipsey and all the others who allowed the rest of us to come, relax, enjoy the company and go home without lifting a finger!! Even if we could "pay" all of you, there would not be enough money to do it!! Thanks for all you do and see you next year! P.S. A few days upon returning to Corpus Christi, I became a grandma for the second time. My first granddaughter was nearly a month early and surprised us all. She is responding well and is now home and adjusting to her older brother. HA!"
GEORGE HUNTER ('70)... "Dennis, I've been out of the country.... I mean out of this country here too! I understand that the reunion went "all out!!!!" and great!!! So glad to hear of the award too! The group photo downloaded great, I still wish to have an original copy for my wall. Thanks a "billion" that was great and I said before the effort you and Danny put into this were phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You are one cool dude.... dude."
CHARLES "BUBBA" ABEL ('70)... "Dennis, The reunion was a SUPER get together of people I have not seen in 30 years. Saw many old faces, most justed changed around the "Belly". Really super job ya'll did putting it together. Lets do it again. I will be sending the photos by e-mail as soon as I get them from Wally World. Also let me know when you start to do the Business part."
CAROL LIPSEY ('70)... "Dear Dennis, Thank-you for all your stamina, determination, perseverance, and encouragement to put on this 30 yr. reunion! Who could have thought to have reunions as long as we've been having them, but someone as dedicated as you....just to see smiles, hear laughter, bring people together and show them years can be set aside....and rekindled... There's a time just to stop the busy lifestyle, reflect, take a deep breath and enjoy people.... That's what my husband, Richard, and I did at this reunion. We had a tremendous time meeting people and making new friends we hadn't known and getting caught up w/friends we did know. We sincerely thank you, Danny Padron and Eddie Holley for the web site, newsletter, and all the "footwork" it took to put on such an event! Pedrotti's Ranch has to be the best place for such a fun time Sat. night. It was outstanding! What happened to all the bold Karieoke's (sp)? Do we have shy classmates?? LOL, yep, even as the years have matured us! Sure was fun. I am humbled by the many people who thanked me for Fri. nite's social, when it was all the hard work of the CLASSMATES, Calvin Buckholtz, and that precious head custodian, Mr. Lopez who pitched in full force! I only played Commander in Chief..tess..and had alot of fun doing that! Just wished my kids were as quick and obedient! LOL Heaps of blessings and thanks poured out to Alice Bachman, Cindy Bacon, Eugene Barnard, Karin Coleman , Maria Galaviz , Clyde Gibson and SON (I'm impressed!), Rick Kieffer, Sharnel Morgan, Jill Temple, and Susan Witt! We all had some laughs and met friends through decorating...who would've thought:) Many thanks also to the classmates who called early on wanting to help in some way: Linda Beauch (oops, sp?), Dolly Garcia, Sharon Goodykoontz, and Michelle Haynes. We had a great turnout of helpers! My only regret is not getting to see Cathy Kirk and Carolyn Clark, but had a wonderful time visiting w/friends I hadn't seen in....years! Forgive me for not showing our appreciation sooner, as we have had company! Is it August already?! Looking forward to getting on your side of town and having lunch:) Thanks again! Love:) Carol"
MERRY FIELD ('75)... "Hi Dennis, I thought the reunion was fantastic! You did a great job. And everyone was wrong. You haven't changed the most. You are still wildly funny, sweet, brilliant, hard working and a lot of fun. Sorry, I had to fly out on Sunday and miss the picnic. I couldn't believe how delicious that barbecue was at Pedrotti's Ranch. Wish I had some tonight! We spent a couple of days in Corpus Christi and that was a lot of fun. Especially for my family. They get so grumpy in the heat and being at the coast cooled them off. One bad thing did happen on the way down. We stopped at the Promised Land Dairy in Floresville. They have a barnyard petting farm. My daughter, Jamie, age 7, is a little Ellie-Mae. She fed the calf and the goats. She didn't have any food left but went to pet the pigs. The pig was hoping for something tasty and bit her finger. It was pretty bad. One tooth got the top of her finger another on the bottom and when she pulled her hand out, she got another little slice. It is healing very nicely and she now has a great story about summer vacation. Many thanks for everything! Smiling at ya, Merry"
BOB FRAZIER ('72)..."Dennis, was great to see all the good old friends that have been out of sight but not out of mind. All went well and there was some really good times for the three days that all went on. The faces that were there were really great to see and to be with again. The guys like Mike O'malley, Mason Wright, Danny, Mike Mitchell, and even the ones that were not there to enjoy the real good times and all the laughs from old...The ladies were great to see and made it all worth while to attend. I came up from Utah after being transferred from Kelly before the shutdown. This place is not that bad and it will only be what I make of it. Lynda (Blanton) Palmer really made it nice for me as we are really good friends from the old days... Keep us up to date as to when the next get together is going to be...if you can let us know before the end of this year as to make the proper arraignments for the trip then we can really get involved with helping and getting things done...my mobil number is 210-859-0920 and if anyone has a mind to call me here at home, the number is 801-444-3654 and my e-mail is hoss315@hotmail.com God did I have a good time and as soon as I get these pictures picked from the photo shop, you will be getting them in the snail mail...take care and give everyone my best...Always, Bob"
PAUL "RANDY" BEATY ('70)... "Dennis, Audrey and I would like to congratulate you, Danny, and Cindee and Carol and all others who put this tremendous event together. We had a very good time. I had some apprehension as I walked through the Jay parking lot. Most of that was because I hadn't been to any of the previous reunions. But everyone was friendly and I felt a lot more at ease as I made the rounds meeting, once again, a lot of old friends. The setup at the school cafeteria, Mr. Gatti's and at Pedrotti's were excellent. I thought you might relent and start work on another reunion for next year, but I didn't think you would do so this quickly. Ya know, wait a couple of months, catch your breath, and then decide but you couldn't wait that long. Take care and I'll catch you on the next chat session. See ya!! Randy"
CHRISTINE SCHLAEGER ('71)... "Dear Dennis, Words can hardly express my appreciation for all your hard work in putting together what was arguably the BEST reunion we've ever had! Couple that with the newsletter and your other effrots to keepus all in touch with each other and you truly are our NUMBER 1 MUSTANG! As I do not have access to a computer, I have to admit that I'd love to see the newsletter continue-- even if only once or twice a year. Regardless, I thank you, again, for helping to bring us that special weekend. Take care!"
CINDY COLEMAN ('74)... "Dear David, I thought that you did a nice job planning the reunion. The food was good as the Sat. night bash, and I thought the location was nice and appropriate. One thing that would have been nice, if you knew before hand from the people who made reservations if you could have printed their names in the booklet that was given out, instead of just the 3 class years. It is so nice to see people we haven't been in touch with, and would have been a great way to have their contact info. Thanks for all the work you did on the reunion. Regards, Cindy"
MARK NORMAN ('71)... "Dennis, The enthusiasm and energy you have shown is incredible. Good job, Sir! The reunion was moving in the most heartfelt sense of the word. It was wonderful too see old friends again while making new friends with those we didn't know so well back in school. The founding Mustangs were and all a special group. We established many of the traditions now held by the school. We entered the world at a particularly challenging time. We have done our part to make the world a better place. Not perfect of course, but better. The reunion offered us the opportunity to appreciate one another as individuals and rekindle the spirit that we knew as Mustangs. When all is said and done - it is the friendship that matters most. Life is short. Let us keep meeting and renewing our friendships."
BOB WILLIAMS ('69)... "I'm so glad I went to the reunion. To those of you that helped get the whole thing together, you are wonderful, especially Dennis & Danny. It was great to see people that I haven't seen in 30 years, when it was time to leave I didn't want to go. It was great."
GARY LEE ('69)... "Dennis, Thanks for all your efforts to put the reunion together. The result was a great get together. I was only at Jay for my senior year and moved out of the area immediately afterwards, but having a time to visit friends and acquaintances reminds me of the many good experiences and excellent people that came into my life from that time. It was good for the soul to look back into those formative years, and review where we've been since. Life happens, and it's up to us enjoy it....it was fantastic to talk to so many people who prove it! By the way, are you CRAZY? Another reunion next year? Didn't you have enough sleepless nights in the past few months? I'll stay in electronic contact to monitor the progress, and hope to see the group next year."
DON GOODMAN ('70)... "Bob Hope was going strong back in our high school years and I never got to see him live. Now, I have had a chance to see some of my classmates and it was a blast. I only knew about three people, really, at the reunion, but I knew several others from name and reputation, if you know what I mean. We made new friends, too, especially at our table. This also gave me a chance to spend time with my brothers and parents who are still in San Antonio. I took my new wife on a tour of San Antonio in the 101 degree heat. Some things are not missed and the heat is one of them. We came home to a cool low humidity 90 degrees, here, in Tennessee. Thanks for all the hard work and dedication to all that had a part in putting the reunion together. We wont be able to make it next year because our vacation time will be spent at a family reunion, where my grandmother will be 100 years old. I hope to be at another one, again, though. Thanks for helping me out, too, Dennis. I couldnt have made it without you. As Gomer would say, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! Gomer is from the same town in Alabama my wife is from, and she does have that Southern accent. I always loved Southern Bells. Now I got one that is wonderful and loving after four tries. Bye for now, Don"
GAY REIMERS ('72)... "Thanks, Dennis, you have worked very hard on this wonderful week-end that we all enjoyed. The atmosphere was great and the locations were perfect. Let's get a place with a pool for the picnic.........wink. The casualness was a joy. Continue to have a place to dance AND I want you to practice and be ready for all of "us" for next year. No backing out of "promised dances"!!!!!! Do you hear me? I saw many neighbors and friends and what a pleasure it was to see all of them. Again, thank-you for your continued work on these reunions....Hugs, Gay"
JIM NUANES ('71)... "Dear Dennis, Thanks for the invite. It was fun to see old friends and to find some that I missed while attending Jay. Best wishes to you and I'll send you something from Germany, Spain or Italy this summer. Nope, no girls!I hope to see you next year, but no promises... Jim"
SUSAN WITT ('71)... "Hi Dennis, Man, do you ever know how to throw a party! I had a wonderful time at all the reunion gatherings. It was the most outstanding, and enjoyed event for a group of that size I have ever attended. I had a great time visiting with so many old friends, as well as making some new ones. You, Danny, and Carol, as well as all your helpers did an awesome job. Thank-you seems such an inadequate term for the appreciation I feel for all your effort on our behalf! I hope you are enjoying a well deserved rest now. You always say "love is all around", I think that is exactly what was happening at the reunion. You have given us new opportunities for some golden memories to add to all the ones we already had. I am still chuckling at all of us standing for our group picture and our sassy comments (still kids at heart!). I look forward to attending another Jay gathering in the future. I will send you copies of pictures in the mail. You are looking pretty happy in all of them! Hmmm....Could it be because you were always surrounded by people who love you?!!) Thank-you Dennis! Take Care. Catch you on Wed Chat! Luv Ya, Man!
KAY COMPTON ('71)... "Dennis, I don't think it's possible to adequately tell you how much I enjoyed the Reunion, and how much it really meant to me. The ONLY flaw was that it didn't last long enough. I could have partied well into the night on Saturday, and that's saying quite alot from someone who usually is asleep by 11 p.m. every night. I hope you had as much fun as I did, because you were the reason it happened at all. We've all said it before, "You are the glue that holds us all together". I am already looking forward to next year's "party" and will do whatever I can to help. I will be back in San Antonio Aug. 20 - 24th, and I expect to go with you for a "mushroom run" while I'm in town, since we couldn't manage to squeeze it into our schedules last week. I hope you know that if there is ever anything I can do for you, you just need to ask. You are such a special person, I hope you know how much we appreciate you and love you! Love is all around, because you are around! Talk to you soon! Kay"
MATT DELANEY ('70)... "Dear Dennis, Thanks so much for being the sine qua non of our reunion. There is no one else who could have pulled it off. It was five times what I expected. There were people there with whom I hadn't even made eye contact in high school, and I had long conversations with them at the reunion. The ranch was the perfect place. It really added to the experience. I hope you can use the pictures that I dropped off to you. I think the idea that Lynda Blanton ('78) and the others had in starting a permanent scholarship fund is a great one. Eventually, the fund will be big enough that they can give away half the interest each year and yet the fund will still grow, doing lots of good long after we've all gone to that big corral in the sky, where we'll munch the tastiest oats amid the verdant pastures of... WAIT! This is pushing the 'Mustang' analogy a little too far! Well, keep in touch. See you in November!"
BILLIE JOHNSTON ('72)... "Dennis, I was extremely pleased with the reunion turn out. The social was a good time at a casual mode. It was nice at Mr. Gatti's w/good food & entertainment for all. That was a great choice. The evening out at Pedrotti's was wonderful. All the work that was put into the planning & decorations sure showed. It was very nice. Everyone seemed to have a great time. A lot of pictures were taken & hopefully that will show how much everyone thoroughly enjoyed everyone's company. Sunday was a bit hot, & since alot of us that closed down Baccarri's got a late start to the picnic, next time we should consider a swimming facility as well. Over all, It was great making new memories, while trying to remember old ones. We wouldn't of been able to partake in such a great time without you, Dennis & all the work of all the others that helped. As for next year's celebration, 'Yee Haa," is right! Sounds great!! That should give all of us time to hunt for others that were not informed of the 2000 reunion! I forsee a bigger crowd each year! I'm excited already. Let's get CRAZY!! Love IS all around!-Thanks again-Billie"
CINDY HOWELL ('71)... "The Reunion was FANTASTIC! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing classmates I hadn't seen in over 30 years. Especially the ones who live in California! The food was great, the dancing fun, but Dennis' "roasting" was the highlight of the dinner! Thank you for a wonderful weekend and I look forward to attending the 40th Reunion."
SANDY WOODS ('70)... "Dennis, It was ALL "SO" Awesome. Being a "memory collector", I thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you've created for me. I hadn't seen my husband, Dean (Dunn) laugh till he cried, for a long time....you're the greatest. Thank You, Thank YOU. THANK YOU !!! Love Ya, Sandy"
KATHY HAMBRIGHT ('72)... "Dennis, You have done an excellent job. Everything was great that you did. I appreciate all your effort. The only thing I didn't care for nor did the people at my table - that was the BBQ at Pedrotti's. But all in all - everything else was great. I agree a one day event would be just fine for the future reunions. I saw some I would have never expected to see again, and some I wish would have come. Maybe they will hear and come next year. Keep it going. Your friend, Kathy"
MARY LOU NORRED ('71)... "Oh my gosh Dennis!! Words cannot begin to express my appreciation for you and Danny and Carol and all the others who put so much time into such a fantastic weekend! I wish I could think of words that would adequately tell you how awesome it was to see people I haven't seen in over 30 years, but no such words exist!! When I left San Antonio, Monday night. I was high as a kite with joy and it's now Wednesday and I'm still up there. I must admit it's nice to get back to much cooler weather. Seeing all the oldies, HA! (they are not so old anymore) meant just as much to me as seeing my own class. Combining the classes is the only way to go. Seeing my special friend, Shirley English ('70) meant so much. Is she a sweetheart or what!!! I think it's a great idea having a combined reunion every year. What a great way to keep in touch. I doubt that I could make it every year since I'm not in the neighborhood but I would certainly try to get there whenever I could. Dennis, again thank you so much. You are a special friend. Love always, Mary Lou :)"
RENITA FOSTER ('71)... "Dear Dennis, I promised myself, regardless of work or house or family demands, I would reserve Wednesday (today) for you and only you! There's so many things I want to say and I hope they come out right. First of all, my sincere thanks for encouraging me and lending support to come to the reunion. You have not idea how terrified I was at this prospect. I just never felt really comfortable at Jay since I'd been at so many high schools prior, and I'm an extremely shy individual. You really did help in that department. It was so wonderful seeing you again - You're as adorable, as always, with that incredible sense of humor and determined spirit. After seeing all the hard work you did on the reunion and how you were able to accomplish so much with it, I admire you, now, more than ever. And to come home and find out that we're going to do it again, yes I said we're, because I can't wait to come back, is truly wonderful to hear! I was afraid I wouldn't have an excuse to return to Texas, anymore, after this summer, but you just provided it. I think it's a wonderful idea and can't wait. One thing I really appreciate about this reunion is all the wonderful handsome, young men who came up to me and said hello and shared some good memories. I had always told my daughter I was a wall flower and now she doesn't believe me! Speaking of daughter, Sherry, my thanks to Mike McHenry ('71) and Tony Pelletier ('71), who conviced her Texas was the place to come to college. I owe them a favor. I will be sending you a copy of the pictures taken of you and me. I will send two so that you can send me an autographed copy. I want something scandalous that will make me giggle, especially when I'm in the old folks home. Many thanks again, please don't ever change and remember that day you're going to spend with me next summer. Love, Renita"
CARL JENSEN ('70)... "Dennis, you and your project team deserve a Well Done! Though I was unable to attend the picnic, as I had a plane to catch, I thought your selection of activities and locations were great. Both Friday and Saturday night events allowed plenty of interaction between alumni. Really could not think of any way to improve. I think Mr Gattis's was a great pick even though we were not all able to fit in one room, really didn't matter since the groups that wanted to be together could. The Saturday night event was superb, meal was great, and buffet is definitely the way to go. I can't believe you are putting yourself in for an annual event though I think that is a great idea with as many people who live in the area. One last thing, I think if the alumni are really going to get behind the JJ High School scholarship initiative then we should go all out!. Could use some visibility . I know you put it on the web page, but it just did not seem to come across as something that was of any real importance. Consider combining the golf tournament that was mentioned as an upcoming event with the annual dinner that you are proposing. And come up with other events that non-golfers could do, e.g. bowling tournament, softball tournament, etc. Just thoughts. Dennis, again thanks for the tremendous effort and bringing back some great memories...CJ"
KARIN WALTERS ('69)... "Hi Dennis.. Smooches to you! What a great time we all had! As I entered the cafeteria for the Friday night social part of the reunion, my thoughts ranged from, “I’m going to know very few people – to will those I know recognize me, and most important will I recognize them?” Who has taken the time to venture from far away places to reunite with a group of people from the past? What a nice surprise I received, when I instantly recognized someone, was greeted with hugs, kisses and laughter. The evening was off to a great start! A most humorous observation was the fact that I found myself searching for familiarity in faces upon which time and living had left its mark. My memory failed me quite often for a younger image had been indelibly etched in my mind. Thank goodness for the NAME TAGS! Most interesting was learning of the paths that people’s lives had taken. I thank those that made my weekend so very special! This “homecoming” has afforded me an opportunity to live in the past for a short period of time, reacquaint myself with those that shared an important part of my life, and develop new friendships. For those who for one reason or another were not able to attend the reunion, it’s worth making at attempt to do so when the next opportunity arises. The very best to all of you! Karin"
CLYDE GIBSON ('70)... "Dennis It was just great!!!!!! Thanks a lot."
ROBERT BIRD ('70)... "Hi, Dennis! We thought you guys did a great job. Glad we were there. It was fun meeting up with old friends and making a few new ones. Take care and keep in touch."
FRANK TRIMM ('69)... "Dennis, I just wanted to drop you a note thanking you for all the hard work you put into what became this past weekend. I know that everyone that attended mirrors my sentiments, and I wish that everyone who did not or could not make the festivities will know just how much they missed. Take care of yourself friend, you deserve the break that you can, now, enjoy. Again, for myself, Brenda and for all that did not thank you, may I say 'Thank You.' Hope to see you next time we are in San Antonio.Your classmate and eternal fellow Forest Ranger, Frank"
RANDY TILLMAN ('70)... "Dear Dennis, just a note to tell you how much we enjoyed the reunion. Everything was great and we are looking forward to the next one, already! judi says to plan this next one at least a week for this past one, as we have $700 of Delta Airlines Dollars to use up by 7/23/01. We got them on our trip home by giving up our setas for a later flight! I hope to talk to to soon. If you ever get out this way, let us know in advance, so, we can leave town! I mean, show you around! town!!! Take care of yourself."
CYE CUNNINGHAM ('74)... "Dear Dennis, Dennis, I think a mini reunion is a great idea. Possibly have a small committee from each class to contact their classmates for a really big turnout!! Had a great time Friday night.. hope Saturday went as well as Friday. Nice to see faces I haven't seen in years."
MICHAEL MITCHELL ('72)... "Dennis, my wife, ROSE SANCHEZ ('75) and I want to say the picnic was very nice, it was the only event we were able to make, our son was in a quinceneta on Saturday, so, we were unable to attend the other events. We attended the picnic with Becky Hovelson ('75) and her husband Danny, Kenny Hannah ('76) and Carmen (English) Hannah ('75), Robby Stelle ('76) and his wife, Vivian Garza ('76). The most memorable picnic event was meeting Robert "Bob" Frazier ('72), again, after all these years. Unknown to me, he knew my wife and Becky and lifted them right off of the ground with a big hug, Ha, Ha, you know Bob, strong as an Ox. Robby was so impressed with Bob, that when asked if he had any more beer in the ice chest he offered Bob the entire contents (including the chest, if he wanted it). Another memorable moment was meeting Mike O'Malley ('70) and Cary Maestas ('69), too bad the thunderstorm was soon upon us and we had to leave. They were the upper classman that we all never met during our school years but they left a lasting impression on John Jay, this picnic day they left a lasting impression of friendship on us too (two fine people)!! Rose and I would like to support your (Love of John Jay Alumni) with a donation to continue your web page. Your efforts have done a service for all of us; no one could put a monetary value on something so priceless (Your Love For All Alumni). Your check is on its way. Till next time my friend, you are special!!!!"
GLENN HUTTO ('71)... "The reunion sucked!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! Just kidding, bro! It was great! The party ranch was cool. You and Danny and Carol and the others really put a lot into it. Thanks! I didn't do anything but show up. (Kinda sounds like my whole high school career, huh?) I like the idea of the mini-reunion every year till death do us part. I love you, man! Glenn"
BETTY WEBSTER ('72)... "Dennis, What a great weekend! Thanks to everyone of you would worked so hard to make this happen. I believe there is a good reason God put you in our lives. Dennis, you have enriched our lives and touched our hearts. God Bless you always. What an amazing effort by Carol, Danny, Ed Holley and those we don't even know about, to bring about a wonderful weekend of laughter and warmth and friendship that spans not only years, but many miles as well. I had never met Mry Lou Norred ('71) before. I (of course) knew who she was, but because she was an "upper classman", I had never spoken to her before Saturday night. Now, I find out that I lived within a mile or so of her in California from 1994 until our move to Washington DC in 1998. This world is getting smaller and smaller. Your websit is a great tool for those of us who care, to get in touch and stay in touch. All we needed was a heroic effort on the part of someone to get it started. One person had to step up to the plate and be the point man. That's you, Dennis. You're our point man. Not only the class of '69 - '70 & '71, but for all future alumni. You have set the standard. I pray that there will be someone in our future who will keep the torch burning. I'm sure, just like you, many of the rest of us, spent the best years of our lives, and made the closest friends we will ever have, at John Jay High School. I grew up in Valley-Hi. I have known the Pointers, McHenrys and Pellitiers for almost 40 years. It's not the place that matters, it's the people. Please, those of you who are the "original Mustangs" encourage your siblings to get in touch with former classmates. We are all better persons for having laughed and shared a little of our time and a little of ourselves with one another. Thank you for allowing other classes to be a part of your celebration. Betty"
TONY PELLETIER ('71)... "Dennis: Now that the dust has settled, I just wanted to say thanks again for all of the hard work on the reunion. I don't know if I am mellowing with age or what, but it was the most relaxed and enjoyable reunion I have attended. I think as we mature we become a lot less concerned with trying to impress each other and a lot more concerned with the issues that really count, such as true friendship. Thanks for creating an opportunity to remind us of that. Congratulations on a job well done. The logistics were great and the Pedrotti Ranch facility was a perfect venue for the Saturday night event. Including the multiple classes was also a great idea. I really enjoyed visiting with everyone, regardless of their original class distinction. Watching Shirley English ('70) and Mary Lou Norred ('71) wow the crowd was just like old times. Some things never change. I was also struck with the remarkable personal talent and levels of accomplishment of the assembled group. We all began life essentially in a modest Air Force NCO neighborhood (honest, hard-working people). And from those roots a truly remarkable group of people emerged. It is an astonishing tribute to the values/lessons imparted by our parents and to the country in which we live. There are very few places on this earth where this could happen. In business, I sometimes think I have an advantage over the elite, silver-spoon crowd because I've had my nose bloodied, so to speak, and it doesn't frighten me. Keep in touch. We shouldn't wait 5 years to communicate."
STEVE DaLUZ ('71)... "Dennis..the reunion was great...I enjoyed meeting folks I haven't seen in years, and we just really let loose & enjoyed ourselves. On the flipside...I think it will be 3 or 4 yrs before I get to attend another one. Just the same, you did a great job--keep up the great work!"
CHERRI COOK ('69)... "Dennis, I think a reunion next year would be great!!! We should plan in conjunction with whatever classes are having their 10th, 20th ect. and just call it reunion weekend. Maybe we could plan something for a Friday that would be for all and any Jay graduates then Saturday would be open for those celebrating landmark years. What do you think? If we did that it would also defer cost for the landmark year classes. I would love to help if you need me...I was great at locating people for our 20th. Thanks again for all the hard work that went into planning this years. Cherri"
BRENDA STEFFENS ('71)... "Hey Dennis! We arrived home tonight about 7:30 p.m.. The reunion was great!!! It felt like a future space movie at first seeing all the "old people" and then I guess I fit right in!! I ordered the picture from the photographer and paid for it Saturday night. I did a stupid thing Friday night- I dropped my camera outside of the trailer and broke it. so therefore I won't have any photo's to give you. Maybe someone could help me by sharing theirs with me.? What do you think? Thanks again for all of the hard work and we enjoyed it very much. Luv Ya, Brenda"
LYNDA BLANTON ('78)... "Hi, Dennis. I just wanted to write a quick note to say that I had a "blast" at your reunion and enjoyed talking with you Friday and Saturday. It was nice to finally put names with e-mail addresses. I'm sorry that I was unable to make the picnic. "Thanks" for your support and participation with the H.O.P.E. scholarship fund. Our raffle was big success. I can't tell you what a good time that we had -- especially me! I also forgot to mention that we raised $365 from the raffle. Everyone deserves a big thanks! We will be having get togethers throughout the year and. if you don't mind. I will keep you posted on the dates and times. I just received the e-mail regarding the "mini" reunion next year, I can't wait and hope that you all will be there. See you next year, I hope! Thanks again. Love, Lynda"
KATHY KISLING ('70)... "Hi, Dennis --I was REALLY bummed that things worked out so I couldn't make the reunion, but I'm delighted to hear that all went so well. Especially since it inspired you to give it a shot for next year. Thanks for all you do. Love, Kathy"
TARYN HOUGH ('72)... "Hi Dennis, Thank you, thank you, thank you -- for reuniting so many friends this past weekend. It sounds like the reunion was a great success. I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to be there, however, there should be no excuses next year. I'll be the first in line to send my reservation in. The wedding plans are almost complete and I'm looking forward to seeing old friends next week. JoAnn (Thetford) Albea will be here from Indiana to keep me in line. Talk to you soon. Big Hugs, Taryn"
DAWN DAVID ('73)... "Hi, Dennis, I hope the reunion went well. I wish I could have been there but there was no way. But I still appreciate all the work you put into the reunion! Let me know how it went and I look forward to seeing pictures on the website."
TINA MUNOZ ('70)... "I look forward to attending next year!"
WARREN WHITAKER ('70) ..."Hey, Dennis! I am glad to hear that the reunion was a success (again!). I was also glad to hear that there may be an annual one day event. I felt a little depressed that I was unable to attend this year and this good news helps to alleviate it somewhat. Any idea when the reunion recap will be available on the web? I am anxious to read all about it!!! Thanks for all that you do!! Always with Best Wishes, Warren"
TOM HENDRY ('69)... "The reunion was great! Good job, Dennis! "
DEBBIE PITTMAN ('73)... "Dennis, I had a great time! It was great to see people Ihaven't seen in thirty years. The best part was to run into a current friend that turns out also went to John Jay, but I never knew him, back then. Talk about a small world. Keep up the great work and see ya next year!!!!!
JULIE CONSANI ('71)... "Dennis, be sure to let me know when next years event will happen. I will need to know plenty of time in advance to get out there. And I will drag my sister, Betty, screaming to it also."
BETTY CONSANI ('70)... "Dennis, I will be there next year...with bells on !! (perhaps a bit more than just bells...but hey who knows !!) Love B"
SANDRA PARRISH ('73)... "Dennis, Thank you so much for your kindness in letting me be a part of this reunion. You have made my year complete and I will repay your kindness. I had a great time and didn't want it to end... some of my friendships were renewed and it is all because of you and your hard work... Thanks, Sandra"
SHIRLEY ENGLISH ('70)...I had a wonderful time. I am so glad that all three classes were there. It was like a school dance. I hope that we can always have our reunions and include all three classses. To everyone involved--Dennis, Danny and Cindee Padron, Carol Lipsey, it was fantastic! Thanks so much!!!!"
GLENN BURCHARD ('69)... "Dennis, I'm sure the superlatives are flowing in like crazy now, but let me add my two cents worth. Everything was just incredible. All of the events were very well organized and I don't know that there's much I'd do differently. Danny and I have already had some discussion about the next one. YES, THERE WILL BE A NEXT ONE! You, Danny, Carol and others did a fantastic job and I hope ya'll feel really good about that. I think that at every reunion, there are folks that you want to see that don't show up. I feel sorry about that on two levels. First, those who could have come but didn't- for whatever reasons- missed out on a truly unique experience and I feel sorry for them. For those of us who did go, I feel a bit sorry for us because the reunion would have been much more complete if the others had come. I guess those who wanted to, and could, did. There were probably folks I talked to more over the three days than I did in my two years at Jay. That was nice. I know my wife Melba, came away with a better understanding of what I have been telling her for many years--our years at Jay were special times because of special people. Another thing I came away with is that we need to make some sort of effort between reunions (YES, THERE WILL BE A NEXT ONE!) to see one another--maybe have mini-reunions. Something very simple, with not much effort. Let's just pick a place, a date and circulate the word to come. Whoever shows up, shows up, and we enjoy one another's company. Our relationships are too important to us all to not invest ourselves in them. We've already had some brief discussions about something next spring. Finally--everyone who showed up looked great, and in my estimation are all successful in life!! By now, we should have all figured out that it's not how you look, or how much money you make, or how many times you've been divorced,--its the special bond we have with one another and those relationships we developed all those years ago. That's what counts and what we come together to experience and reinforce. Thanks for keeping that torch burning, Buddy! Glenn"
WANDA DARLEY ('70)..."Dennis....it was such a special weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone, and hearing what they had been up to. I want to thank everyone who worked on putting this together. So many of us just reaped the benefits, but I'm sure I speak for all when I say that your hard work and that of your committee was greatly appreciated. Thanks for keeping us all in touch. What a marvelous group of people! Love to all....Wanda"
FRANK "RIP" DOUVRY ('70)... Sherry and I enjoyed the hell out of Friday and Saturday night. Our schedule limited us to Mr. Gatti's and Pedrotti's but we enjoyed both. Sherry saw someone Saturday night and said 'That must be a coach or teacher because they look so OLD.' I said, 'YES, WE ARE!'. All your HARD work is greatly appreciated. It's great to get together with people you have lost touch with and catch up. I really did not expect to stay too late Saturday but first thing I knew they were kicking us out. I had a great time and owe you some more mushrooms when I get back in town. Thanks."
DON ELDER ('70)... "What can I say??? It was fantastic!! Outstanding!! And besides that....it was a lot of fun!!! Here I stand....the consummate disbeliever!! I was so sure it would ruin all my memories, I was afraid it would leave me feeling older, I was so wrong!! I feel better now, than I did when I was in school. I saw faces and talked to people that had long since been in my brain but had not been to my heart in 30 years, the reunion made them live again. I hope I see them more often, I want to talk with them and share my life, as well as to share in theirs. There is nothing better in this world of ours than Friends! As my Mother used to say, "The world is not buildings, or cars, or any other thing.......it is all of us"! And she was always right!! There was one other old Indian saying "You must "know" the past, to be able to build the future, but today.....is the only season that we can live. Don't be afraid to look back to see where you have been, you leave your footprints and a good path. Your heart will tell you what you must do today, together they give you eyes to see tomorrow." I know that to be a good Shaman, it is important to have vision. The Reunion made it so! You were absolutely right, my friend, so I thank you from the bottom of my pee-pickin' little heart. On that note, I'll cut it short. I'll speak with the smoke people and ask them to carry great dreams to you in the night. Watch for a raccoon or maybe a squirrel, stop and speak quietly with him and tell him your hopes and dreams and he will pass them on to the Great Father. You are always my Friend. Sincerely, Don"
PHYLLIS FORTENBERRY GRIFFITH ('70)... "Dear Dennis, I just want to say thank you once again for putting forth such great effort to make this special event happen and to bring us kids back together again. I realize that after all these years and all the changes, we still have the same smiles, the same eyes and the same goodness in our hearts. The only difference is that peer pressure no longer exists. Who cares!! We are who we are and have finally reached the place in life where we can accept ourselves, and in accomplishing that, we can love and accept others. I guess part of that comes from teaching our children to love themselves and to love all people. Life hasn't always been easy. Hard times and heartaches along the way for all of us. But along with it we have grown - grown to appreciate waking up every day, grown to appreciate our past and grown to appreciate all the people who have touched our lives and truly made a difference. And those childhood bonds helped to shape us and taught us about life and love. It's nice to go back and laugh and recall our "ugly duckling" years, especially since we've all grown to be beautiful swans!!! I'm not talking about looking in the mirror, I'm talking about looking into our eyes into the windows of our souls. We're all beautiful and have all touched someone's life along the way and made a difference! I want everyone to know that I love and appreciate them! And I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Thanks for the memories!! As for another one, next year... Hip Hip Hooray!!! Count us in! Even if we go back to Saudi Arabia, next year, we'll be there! I love your enthusiasm, and I think it's contagious. Love you, Phyllis"
CINDY BACON ('70)..."Dennis, I had a wonderful time, even though I mostly just sat and observed everybody else and might not have looked as excited as I felt inside. I never have mingled much, so I was glad to be able to just sit and watch and absorb old times and feel the energy you all created. I would have been down to visit my dad no matter what, but, the reunion made my visit even more special. Thanks for adding so much to my trip home. I love you and all the Mustangs, Cindy."
PAM CASTLE ('70)... "Hi Dennis, I don't know where to begin to thank you for keeping us together. This past weekend was great and I look forward to the next reunion. I didn't think it was possible, but there was a magical touch in the air this weekend. At John Jay during our tours and social time, I had closed my eyes for a few moments in the cafeteria. It was amazing the feeling that came over me. I had a flash back of being in the cafeteria. Hearing the hustle and scurrying of students getting their lunch in the background, I heard several people asking if they were going to the dance tomorrow night. Flashback of 30 years ago!! What a nice remembrance. The next day getting ready for the party, I was as nervous as going to our class prom. What to wear and how others were going to dress...etc. The group picture was a major flashback ...no kidding ...the same camera and man-made pyramid stand. After 30 years some things just don't change...including our classmates. It was great trying to put faces to the names of the ones who did change. Next time, I hope we have our old pictures on our name tags. The memory isn't what it used to be (ha ha). We still had our little matchmaker doing her thing Saturday night, just like 30 years ago !! She knows who she is and what she was doing that night. What a great time I had and I owe it to you and your love for our class togetherness. LOVE YOU, DENNIS Your heart is made of gold !! I just read your reunion wrap up note and you sound so HIGH !! I'm glad, you deserve it. I have to admit that I'm still smiling from last Friday and Saturday. It was absolutely the BEST. I felt like a seventeen year old again!! Your right we have the best high school friends. I have exchanged several phone numbers and plan to get together soon. We owe it all to you Dennis and your wonderful gift of love. You're right ...Love is all around. Talk with you again soon. Sincerely, Pam"
SHARON GOODYKOONTZ ('70)... "Dear Friends ... This reunion will probably be the very last time I see you. I want to wish you a happy life, full of health, happiness, and enough wealth to get you by ... and more would always be nice so you could help others who don't...It was fun to hear the cries of "Oh! It's YOU!!" and "Who are you again?" Of course, it's always lovely to see our friend Dennis and chuckle at his jokes. Regrets? Nah. I still love you all, and I will miss you. Be careful out there. Be happy, be at peace, go with God and God go with you. My love, sincere, deep and true is with you, always. Sharon"
RIGGS GAY ('71)..."Hey Dennis, just a short note to thank you again for the great time at the reunion. I know how much effort and heart you put in to these things. We sometimes don't appreciate the effort and dedication it takes to endeavor such a thing as this. I thank you with all my heart and soul. Riggs"
RICK JETER ('71)... "Best one yet, and it was fun having multiple years there. Pedrotti's was a great location for the Saturday night party. Thanks again for all the hard work. Rick"
DRUCILLA TREVINO ('72)..."Dennis, I really enjoyed the "Ice Breaker!" at the school. I wasn't there too long, but I did get to see a few friends from the past. I would have liked to have seen more. I know that many of the Jay alumni were from the military and are hard to get in touch with, and somehow I would like to hear from them. I guess I really need to get acquainted with this darn computer and look for their e-mail addresses. If you can leave my address on the line and hopefully they will remember who I am and get in touch with me. I'll be so sad if this will be the last one. I guess this is hard on you to keep it going on your own. Should you ever need help...keep in touch. I was so caught up in conversation, that I never got to talk to you. Everyone was leaving and Miros Garcia ('71) had a plane to catch early in the morning that she rushed me. I'm glad to hear that this will happen again next year. Hopefully in the years to come, different faces will appear, and before we know it I'll get to see everyone I once knew and had a great time growing up with. Thank you for all your efforts. I will make sure that word gets around to all I know for next year. Next time...Dru"
BECKIE AUSTIN ('75)... "Dearest Dennis, I am speaking for my sisters Debbie '71, Kathy '76 and myself. We all had a great time. We talked to schoolmate's that we hadn't seen in a long time. We appreciate all the hard work it took for everyone involved to get the word out. I can only imagine the sleepless nights and the massive questions. I hope we can all keep in touch in some way or the other. Thanks to all who helped to get us together. I truly appreciate the months of planning. It went off with a big bang. Let's stay in touch, Beckie."
KEVIN PETERSON ('72)... "Dennis, I didn't get to attend, but hey, big guy, I hope it was everything you hoped for and just a little bit more. I know that you worked hard and, sorta' like that MasterCard commercial, it's one of those things that are priceless and can be crossed off your "lifetime 'to do'" list. Big time congratulations on pulling it off. From the bottom of my heart, I salute you. You DA MAN!!!! You are certainly crazy, but that is why you are so revered! I will be at the next one come hell or high water! Kevin."
CATHIE BOOTH ('70)... "Dennis, Hey, Big Guy! We finally made it back from Montana and heard that the reunion was great. Sorry that we missed it but this is a yearly commitment we made to our frieds for their spiritual week with the Blackfeet tribe. We experienced 60 mph winds and the cook tent was walking. Try cooking for 200 people with a moving kitchen. Lots of prayers were sent your way as well. Thanks for all that you do, Dennis. Love, Cathie"
VICKI HOWELL ('73)... "Hi, D...hope things went as well as you'd hoped at the reunion. Glad to hear you're willing to have another go at it. The mini reunion sounds like a good idea for next year. I had a nice time and would love to do it again. I had a good time and my girls enjoyed the Friday nite outing. I am so glad I was able to make it down to San Antonio. I'll be here for a couple more weeks, if you'd like to do lunch or dinner or just hang out sometime. Great job on the reunion, Dennis! Talk to you soon. Love, Vicki"
EILEEN YOUNG ('71)..."Dennis, Dennis, Dennis!!!! I don't know if I could put into just a few words what a wonderful time I had at the reunion (and remember I had two this weekend, so I am really on reunion overload!!). I am still cruising at high altitude!! Fact is though, in about 45 minutes, I will be back at my desk at the Brownsville Library processing books. But, in my mind I will be replaying it all. There are several moments that I will cherish forever...little things that are going to bring a smile to my lips that will rival the smile of the Mona Lisa. Then, there are going to be times when I hope I don't break into outright laughter....or start humming ...or singing all those songs that served as the sound track of our lives, I work in a library after all!. I want to thank my tablemates...Brenda Steffens ('71) and her husband, Tom Hendry ('69), Vicki Howell ('73), and Susan Witt ('71) for making the evening such fun. And of course, my husband Galen Wellnicki, for putting up with me all weekend, while I went back in time. And a special thanks to Danny, Carol and Dennis for making it all possible. See y'all in chat room!! Eileen"
CATHY PARKER ('73)... "Dennis, I'm sorry I had to miss the reunion, but I sure hope to be there next time. Things are still a bit crazy here in Los Alamos after the fire and events at the lab. Keep me on the distribution list."
LINDA BEAUCH ('73)... "Hello, Dennis...This has been THE REUNION to top all other reunions. The smart MIGHTY MUSTANGS were there! Dennis, you were right...Yes, you can go back and have and even better time.. Thanks for letting me be a part of this once in a lifetime event! Linda"
