Wow! Sometimes, I can't believe I was ever that BIG! I
ain't skinny now, but at least I lost some weight! That's
Tina Pierce ('70), at the far right, then me, Dennis DuPriest,
next is Charlotte Glisson ('70), and that's Rusty Atkins ('70)
in the background. Tina is hanging in there, fighting her
Multiple Schlerosis. Charlotte is a occupatinal therapist
and lives in Floresville. Rusty owns several businesses,
including an insurance agency in San Antonio.

Renewing old friendships, here's Janice Sams ('70) and
Tony Soria ('70). They both live in California, but hadn't
seen one another for years! Here they are discussing the
length of... well, never mind!!

Rene Bartee ('70) was the first John Jay graduate to go back
to Jay as a teacher! Here she is with
Leonard Saavedra ('70)
and his wife, Dawn. Rene lives in Amarillo and teaches 5th
grade. Leonard in Mesa, Arizona, and is opening his own
chain of hobby & craft stores, called, "Legends 7".

Carl Jensen ('70), at the far left, retired as a Colonel from
the Air Force and nows lives in Newport News, Virgina, and
still works for the government.
Warren Whitaker ('70) works
for the University of Texas in Austin.
Denise Rupp ('70) is a
teacher ( I think) here in San Antonio. The guy in the striped
shirt with his back to the camera is
Doug Crawford ('70).
Doug works for USAA in San Antonio. I don't know who
the girl is the foreground of this picture, but I think it's
Sam Sarrazin's (70) wife. Back in the '60s, Carl, Warren, me
and
Mark Loiselle ('70) worked at the Dairy Queen. I still
hold the record for throwing a butcher knife the farthest
and getting it to stick in the freezer door!!

Here's the "Class of '70" "Receding Hairline Club."
Joe Acosta, Chuck Ogier ('70), and Sam Sarrazin ('70). Joe
works for Motorola in Seguin. Chuck is a 747 pilot travelling
the world. Sam owns a direct mail business in San Antonio.

Willy Lowe ('71) and Harry Lindgren ('70) are not only
friends, they are also members of "The Guys" and two very
successful independent business owners! Willy owns his own
contracting and construction business in the Dallas area,
while Harry owns his own jewlery store, called,
"Debbie's Designs" on Bandera Road just one block
inside Loop 410 at the EZ's shopping center.
